This Privacy Policy explains how Soil and Hive, LLC handles the information you share with us through this website. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to help you, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.

1 What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

• Rescue-request form. Your name, phone number, email address, the property location or area where the bees are, a description of the situation, and any optional photos you attach.
• Mailing list. The first name, last name, and email address you enter when you sign up for rescue-season alerts and honey releases.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.

This website does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies, and it does not build a profile of your browsing. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy first.

2 How we use it

We use your information to:

• Respond to your rescue request and follow up with next steps;
• Assess and plan the job, and prepare an inspection or written estimate;
• Communicate with you about your service or your questions;
• Send the mailing-list emails you signed up for (you can unsubscribe any time).

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers below who help us operate — and only as needed to do so.

3 Where your information lives

• Rescue requests submitted through our form are collected and processed through Netlify Forms, the platform that hosts this website, and are handled under Netlify's privacy practices.
• Mailing-list sign-ups are collected through Netlify Forms, the platform that hosts this website, and are managed and sent through Mailchimp, our email marketing provider. Each is handled under its own privacy practices.
• Purchases and their related data are handled by Shopify, our online store, under Shopify's own privacy policy. We don't process or store your payment card details ourselves.

4 Photos

Photos you attach to a rescue request are used for one thing: to assess your situation and plan the job. We do not use your photos in marketing, social media, or anywhere public without asking you separately and getting your permission first.

5 Retention, access, and deletion

We keep the information you send only as long as we reasonably need it — to respond to your request, carry out any work, and keep our records. You're always in control of your details:

• You can ask us what information we have about you;
• You can ask us to correct anything that's wrong;
• You can ask us to delete your information.

Just email info@soilandhive.com and we'll take care of it. To unsubscribe from the mailing list, use the link in any email or email us and we'll remove you.

6 Children's privacy

This website is meant for adults arranging bee rescue or buying honey. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, please email us and we'll delete it.

7 Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date shown at the top of this page and post the updated version here. If the changes are significant, we'll do our best to make that clear.
